JOB WANTED
The successful candidate for my employer will offer the following:
A position with a high degree of autonomy. I am a self-starter and highly motivated, and I give my employer, fellow employees and customers my very best efforts. This position will allow me to work on my own, be responsible for my work and tailor my responses and efforts to reflect the changing needs of my employer, my supervisor, my fellow employees and my customers. This position may have a supervisor that requires daily updates, or a supervisor that only offers minimal contact - I am happy and can do a good job with either type of supervision. The position should not require a great deal of "team work" where several people are handling the same job (or sections of the same job). I am happy working with and for people, and I prefer a position where I am responsible for my work, and not in a "group project" setting.
The position will be a busy, active one without a CONSTANT (or expected) threat of potentially broken deadlines. While an occasional "tight deadline" is fine, and cannot be completely avoided, the job should not have a constant supply of them as this means someone is not managing their time or employees properly.
The employer should take employees' abilities and skills into account when setting expectations and deadlines. "Stretch goals" are fine, and indeed are necessary, while Impossible ones are not.
This position will offer a wage that will allow me to support my family and meet my obligations. I am willing to negotiate, and I am also willing to take a substantial pay cut from what I am earning at the moment, depending on position and location. It will also offer health, vacation and investment (i.e. 401(k)) benefits.
The location is negotiable. I am willing to relocate, but the position must be within 30 miles of my home, wherever that may be. My HOME must be able to be located in a small town, rather than a metropolitan area or large city. The small town should not be a bedroom community to a metropolitan area, but it may be negotiable, depending on the town. If relocation is necessary, relocation benefits or assistance would be appreciated but are not required.
The position will be one that I can hold for an extended period of time - at least ten to fifteen years. The employer will foster an attitude of concern for the employees' well-being and will treat the employees like actual feeling people, with actual families and lives, rather than numbers on a data sheet. The employer will consequently demonstrate the same loyalty to the employees that they expect from the employees. I will, in turn, be incredibly loyal to the employer and my fellow employees.
The employer must be willing to take a chance on hiring someone who may not have as much experience as they would like at the particular position, but who will learn quickly and will not need much supervision past the introductory / learning period.
Employers! Don't miss out on this fantastic opportunity to have a bright, eager to work, eager to learn, eager to SERVE employee who will work loyally for you as long as she is able! Act now!
